Irakere

Here is the first official post.  There is more to come, but for now I'm attempting to put up music on this here shit.

The first is an album I stumbled across a band which I've been meaning to delve more into - Irakere.  They're a Cuban band out of a second generation of North American soul imitators.  This particular album comes out of a concert from Sweeden recorded...I don't know when.  They do a much better job than most American bands at creating funk that is in the pocket while still having ill horn stabs and solos throughout.  It's like Cubanismo meets some Issac Hayes.
